The brief for this design, while mixed and conflicting, had to include a folding seaplane.

The outcome shows just how flexible the layout of a large sailing catamaran can be. The folding seaplane is an Icon A5 which I feel is a revolutionary aircraft and I understand has a very long and impressive client list. Built exclusively of carbon and high modulus resins it is the perfect flying toy for the marine environment. (No I’m not being paid to write about it, I would just love to have one.)

Obviously with a design of this size, the layout can be modified to suit most requirements.
